Recommendations for Christmas photoshoot

GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS:

Avoid clothing with small stripes or checks, as they can distract from the simplicity and elegance of the overall look. Also bright neons, oversized prints, or large logos.
For the studio shoot prepare clean shoes!

 1. Outfit Styles:
 • Formal: Opt for classic pieces like dresses, suits, or tailored coats.
 • Casual: Cozy sweaters, cardigans, or flannel shirts. Patterns like plaid or fair isle are great for a classic, cozy look.
 • Pajamas: Matching pajama sets. Classic patterns like plaid or simple stripes work beautifully.

Here's a guide to choosing colours for a Christmas photoshoot:

1. Icon Studio. White room. Vanilla Kiss

Colours: White, cream, champagne, gold, soft beige + classic black outfits with gold or pearl accents

Avoid: Bright red, emerald green, dark patterns – they will break the soft luxury look.

2. Icon Studio. Elle. Frosted Elegance

Colours: Light grey, white, oatmeal, ivory, soft pastels + black knitwear

Avoid: Black, deep green, bold prints – keep it airy and calm.

3.  Mint Room. Conservatory. Starlit Carousel

Colours: All-white, silver, light beige, muted gold + black festive looks for an editorial high-contrast effect

Optional accent: Soft metallics or pale ice-blue

Avoid: Dark or neon shades – they will overpower the scene.

 4. Mint Room. Nest. Winterglow

Best colours: White, silver, pearl, light grey, champagne

Textures: Knits, ribbed fabrics, velvet – they photograph beautifully here

Avoid: Strong colour accents, busy patterns.

5. Mint Room. Ballroom. Nocturne Eve

Best colours: White, cream, black, deep green, charcoal, beige

Looks great: Monochrome outfits or white + black contrast

Avoid: Gold tones – they clash with the cool palette.

6. Mint room. White Loft. Dior Noel

Best colours: White, ivory, champagne, soft gold, beige

Add interest: Light textured fabrics (linen, wool, rib knit)

Avoid: Bright colours – the room is very tonal and elegant.

7.  Mint Room. Salon. Kindled Holiday

Colours: Cream, beige, warm brown, forest green, muted gold, soft light-blue accents + classic black outfits for contrast (black velvet dress, black suit)

Avoid: Bright red, neon tones, bold patterns, silver sequins (too cold against the warm palette)

8. Mint room. Kitchen. Oak & Ember

Colours: Cream, beige, warm brown, forest green, muted gold, soft light-blue accents + classic black outfits for contrast (black velvet dress, black suit)

Avoid: Bright red, neon tones, bold patterns, silver sequins (too cold against the warm palette)

9. Mint room. Lounge. Muted Pine

Colours: Cream, ivory, taupe, chocolate brown, pine green + soft black outfits (knit, wool, velvet — no glossy fabrics)

Avoid: Pure bright white synthetics, cold blue, bright red — they break the warm earthy palette

10. Mint room. Sanctuary. Cranberry

Colours: Red, crimson, forest green, white, ivory + black outfits for a sharp editorial contrast (black dress, black suit, black & white combo)

Avoid: Pink, baby blue, light yellow, silver sequins — they break the bold red theme

11. Icon Studio. Soho. Panthere Noel

Colours: Deep red, ruby, scarlet, gold, champagne, soft beige + classic black outfits (velvet, satin, tuxedo-style looks work great here)

Avoid: Pastels, silver tones, neon shades, green clothing (clashes with red-gold glamour)

12. Icon studio. Iconic room. 2 setups. Palph Lauren + Hazelnut Latte

Ralph Lauren Christmas Setup (red ribbons, plaid, green tree, tartan boxes)

Colours: Forest green, deep red, blackwatch plaid, ivory, gold, white, dark brown + classic black outfits (black wool, velvet, or knit fits the RL aesthetic)

Avoid: Pastels, silver-heavy outfits, neon colours — they don’t match the traditional luxury “Americana” style

Hazelnut Latte (brown ornaments, warm neutrals, soft beige)

Colours: Cream, beige, warm brown, caramel, muted gold, soft green

Avoid: Bright red, pure white synthetics, cool greys — they break the warm earthy palette
